Telehealth Appointments
Telehealth consultations are offered to improve access to care and are not considered inferior or of lesser value than face-to-face appointments. The time and professional input required from the doctor are the same as for an in-clinic consultation.
Please note:
- Telehealth appointments are not automatically bulk billed
- Fees are charged at the same rate as equivalent face-to-face consultations
- A Medicare rebate is available only if you have attended a face-to-face appointment at the clinic within the previous 12 months, in accordance with Medicare requirements
- Not all medical issues are suitable for telehealth. You may be requested to attend the clinic in person if a face-to-face assessment is required to ensure appropriate care.
Making Payments
Medicare cards must be presented before each consultation. Payment is required on the day of the consultation and can be made by EFTPOS or Credit Card (excluding American Express). Please also bring a physical debit card for a quick Medicare rebate directly to your account.
Late Cancellation and No Show Fees
If an appointment is cancelled within two hours of the scheduled time, a $30 late cancellation fee may apply.
If you do not attend your appointment and do not notify us, a fee of 50% of the scheduled consultation cost may apply.
Fees may be waived in exceptional circumstances at the discretion of the practice.
Walk-ins
We normally require people to make a booking but we can sometimes help if you walk into the medical centre. Priority is given to people who have made a booking.
Appointments
Our appointment system caters for urgent, non urgent, complex, planned chronic care and preventative healthcare. If you need more time with your GP, please book a long consultation. Urgent appointments will be seen by the next available GP. Please advise reception if you believe you require an urgent appointment. Urgent appointments will be triaged by the nurse on duty.
Missed Appointments
If you cannot attend an appointment, please cancel your appointment online at least 24 hours before your allocated time or contact our reception team at 03 9069 9188. If you miss 2 appointments without prior notice, the clinic reserves the right to remove you from our patient register and blacklist you from making any more appointments with the medical centre.
Waiting Times
Sometimes GPs are delayed by patients with urgent or complex issues. We apologise if you’re asked to wait and thank you for your patience.

The Doctors in this centre routinely send recalls and reminders to patients by SMS/letter (as appropriate) for follow up consultation and the review of test results. If you do not wish to receive these reminders, please advise your Doctor or reception team.
From time to time you may also be provided with information about improving your health and offering you access to preventative health services that are appropriate to your care. If you do not wish to receive these reminders, please advise your Doctor or reception team.
Test Results, Scripts, Referrals & Other Paperwork
For privacy reasons test results are not given out over the telephone. This means that all patients are required to return to the centre to discuss their results during a consultation with a Doctor. You also need to attend the centre to obtain any referrals, repeat scripts etc. as part of a consultation with a Doctor. Our Receptionists do not have access to your clinical information and are unable to take requests for any of these items.
